Why I'm out-of-network
Therapy is an investment.
I don't take that lightly.
I want your care shaped by what is clinically useful, not by what an insurance company will authorize, question, or later attempt to take back.
Using insurance generally requires a mental health diagnosis to be submitted with claims. A diagnosis can be important and appropriate, but I do not believe every person seeking support should automatically have to trade that privacy for access to therapy.
Private-pay work gives us more freedom to decide together what you need, how often we meet, and when the work feels complete.
