Connection
comes first.

You do not need the right words before you come in. We start with what is happening now, make sense of the patterns underneath it, and find changes that are actually livable.

More curiosity.
Less judgment.

Brooke in her Long Grove counseling office

Therapy works best when people feel genuinely understood, not analyzed from across the room.

My approach is strengths-based, relationship-focused, and grounded in deep compassion. I use honesty, curiosity, and humor to help people lower their guard, recognize their strengths, and understand patterns that may have felt confusing for years.

I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Internal Family Systems and parts work, Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-informed approaches.

I do not force every person into one model. I use the tools that fit the person, the problem, and the moment.

Care that fits the person in front of me.
